Tough Crowd

shes quiet at first

and doesn’t want to say too much,

I get her to crack a smile

and that just makes her tighten up,

I get her to laugh

and all the more does she put up a front,

attempting to deflect what ever I throw

I still hit it back, further busting her gut,

she regains her composure-goes stoned faced

and before leaving-looks me in the eyes, and says that she’s had enough

Price Match

All she needed

was a reason

another hard to swallow thing

down the hatch,

one thinking

one could pull one over

doesn’t know

she lives to price match,

claims to want

to be treated as an equal

yet expects special privileges

that doesn’t match,

fool her once

shame on your

you’ll be lucky if

you get a second chance,

 but if you do

you poor fool

pray

and watch your back,

a broken heart

is a fully loaded gun

that’s sometimes is

more literal and FACT

Power of Nancy

There is no

denying the truth

and sometimes depending on perception

can make that next move uncouth

we think things into existence

so before you chicken out and fly/leave the coupe

know that the car goes where you steer

and in the end you do what you want to do

if it doesn’t do any good

then what does it really prove

negative nancy doesn’t leave what she fancies

so she remains unable to break her glue

Hostage

You love me when you want to

I love you when I can,

we both hold on to what God gave us as a hostage

until the others complies with the demands,

that the other wants

wanting can f*** us pretty bad,

games are ment for children

yet here you are planning it out in advance,

so much cat and mouse

the cheese no longer fuses the same trance,

that it once lit the fuse of

its grown as stale as an uninspired square dance,

all this dosey doe

wields no more sort of romance,

if that ever was there to begin with

I no longer want to go into the darkness and take a chance,

birthing what the physical

couldn’t possibly intellectually or spiritually advance,

your as stubborn as al Qaeda

where’s the white flag?
